Recap: Calvin Christian Crusaders vs. St. Joseph Academy Crusaders
On Thursday, The Calvin Christian Crusaders faced the St. Joseph Academy Crusaders in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Calvin Christian was the victim of a tough 44-22 defeat at the hands of St. Joseph Academy. Calvin Christian's loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Despite the loss, Calvin Christian still got an impressive performance from Bobby Hartman, who rushed for 40 yards and two touchdowns, and also threw for 194 yards and a touchdown.
Andrew Wadds got back to being his usual excellent self, as he rushed for 102 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries. Asher Larkin was another key contributor, rushing for 142 yards and a touchdown on only 14 carries.
Calvin Christian's defeat dropped their record down to 6-3. As for St. Joseph Academy, their win was their ninth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which bumped their overall record up to 7-2.
Calvin Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now. St. Joseph Academy also has no future games currently scheduled.
