Basketball Recap: Grand River Prep Takes a Loss

After flying high against Wellspring Prep last Friday, Grand River Prep came back down to earth. Grand River Prep received a blow on Tuesday as they fell 50-31 to the Zion Christian Mountaineers. The loss continues a trend for Grand River Prep in their matchups with Zion Christian: they've now lost eight in a row.

Grand River Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Zion Christian, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grand River Prep will head out to take on Lee at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Grand River Prep is facing Lee at the right time seeing as Lee is stuck on a 12-game losing streak. As for Zion Christian, they are taking a road trip to challenge Potter's House Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
