Volleyball Recap: Mountain Ridge Starts off Right with Win over Cesar Chavez

Mountain Ridge had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They blew past the Cesar Chavez Champions 3-0 on Thursday. The Mountain Lions have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Champions, too.

While Mountain Ridge won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the third set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-20, 28-26.

Mountain Ridge had a senior duo take command as Heejin Kim had 20 digs and Mia Hodor had nine digs and three aces.

Mountain Ridge has already played their next game, a 3-0 victory against Rincon/University on the 2nd. As for Cesar Chavez, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Liberty on the 2nd.
