Soccer Recap: King Takes a Loss

King lost against Atascocita back in March of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The King Panthers came up short against the Atascocita Eagles, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 451st, while the Eagles are ranked 65th).

This is the second loss in a row for King and nudges their season record down to 4-4. As for Atascocita, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3-1.

King will be playing in front of their home fans against Goose Creek Memorial at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Atascocita, they will head out to take on Summer Creek at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Atascocita's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so Summer Creek's offense will have their work cut out for them.
