Volleyball Recap: Trinity Academy Beats Garden Plain for Their Fifth Straight Win

Trinity Academy extended their postseason success on Monday against Garden Plain. They won by a set and slipped past the Owls 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Knights sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Trinity Academy got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 21-25, 25-15.

Ava Deutsch was the offensive standout of the matchup as she had 20 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted since back in September.

Trinity Academy's victory bumped their record up to 26-5. As for Garden Plain, their defeat ended a six-match streak of away wins and brought them to 29-9.

Looking ahead, Trinity Academy will square off against Collegiate at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Garden Plain does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
