Soccer Game Preview: ALA - Queen Creek vs. Combs

The ALA - Queen Creek Patriots will challenge the Combs Coyotes at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Monday just wasn't the day for ALA - Queen Creek's offense. They came up short against Eastmark on Monday, falling 5-0. The Patriots have struggled against the Firebirds recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Meanwhile, Combs has been on a difficult stretch since their win on January 13. They lost 9-0 to Crismon on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Coyotes can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Arizona soccer rankings (they are ranked 152nd, while the Rattlers are ranked 19th).

ALA - Queen Creek's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-6. As for Combs, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8-1.

Everything went ALA - Queen Creek's way against Combs when the teams last played back in January of 2024, as ALA - Queen Creek made off with a 3-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for ALA - Queen Creek since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
