Basketball Preview: Northwestern Bulls vs. TERRA Environmental
Northwestern has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against TERRA Environmental at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. TERRA Environmental took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Northwestern, who comes in off a win.
In what's become a running theme this season, Northwestern gave their fans yet another huge win on Wednesday. They blew past North Miami Beach, posting a 49-15 victory at home. Given Northwestern's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 151st, while the Chargers are ranked 313th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Northwestern got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Jermiah Eleby out in front who scored 16 points along with six assists and three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Eleby has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Sophonie Felix, who scored 19 points along with five rebounds.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 51-21, which was the final score in TERRA Environmental's tilt against the Sabres on Friday. TERRA Environmental has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Northwestern is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for TERRA Environmental, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-13 record this season.
Northwestern came out on top in a nail-biter against the in their previous matchup back in February of 2022, sneaking past 42-40. Does Northwestern have another victory up their sleeve, or will the turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
