Baseball Game Preview: Buckingham Browne & Nichols Knights vs. Beaver Country Day Beaver

The Buckingham Browne & Nichols Knights will head out to face off against the Beaver Country Day Beaver at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Buckingham Browne & Nichols took a ten-run loss the last time they faced off against Roxbury Latin, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Foxes 5-3. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Knights have posted against the Foxes since April 8, 2017.

GUS INADA was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. Those two RBI gave him a new career-high. RYAN CLAY was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Beaver Country Day entered their tilt with Berwick Academy on Wednesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Beaver, who have now won seven games by ten runs or more so far this season.

Beaver Country Day pushed their record up to 10-4 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for Buckingham Browne & Nichols, their victory bumped their record up to 8-9-1.
