Volleyball Recap: Morgan Ryan's Big Game Can't Quite Lead West Mesa over Rio Grande

West Mesa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They came up short against the Rio Grande Ravens, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Ravens this season, with their most recent loss being a 3-0 defeat back in October.

The final score came out to 25-15, 25-21, 25-21.

West Mesa's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Morgan Ryan, who had 11 digs. Kianna Joe was another key player, getting seven kills and three blocks.

West Mesa's defeat dropped their record down to 3-17. As for Rio Grande, their victory bumped their record up to 11-12.

Looking ahead, West Mesa will square off against Los Lunas at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Rio Grande does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
