Soccer Recap: West Ottawa Comes Up Short

West Ottawa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hudsonville Eagles. That's two games in a row now that West Ottawa have lost by exactly two goals.

West Ottawa's loss dropped their record down to 2-7-1. As for Hudsonville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-5-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. West Ottawa will venture away from home to face off against Zeeland East at 11:45 a.m. on Saturday. Zeeland East's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so West Ottawa's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Hudsonville, they are taking a road trip to challenge Norrix at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Norrix will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Hudsonville surely won't give up without a fight.
