Soccer Recap: Fort Dorchester Takes a Loss

Fort Dorchester was the 2-0 winner over Academic Magnet when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Fort Dorchester Patriots fell just short of the Academic Magnet Raptors by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Patriots have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Britain Floyd wasn't going to let Academic Magnet walk away unscathed as she scored both of Fort Dorchester's goals, bringing her season total up to four goals.

Fort Dorchester now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Academic Magnet, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Fort Dorchester will welcome Berkeley at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Academic Magnet, they will head out to square off against Timberland at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Academic Magnet is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.
