Basketball Recap: Blair Victorious

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Blair ultimately got the result they hoped for on Monday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Northwest Jaguars, sneaking past 59-56. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Blazers have posted since January 8, 2024.

Northwest's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Kush Malhotra, who went 5 for 12 on his way to 18 points and six assists, and Anthony Wells, who went 5 of 7 en route to 13 points and six boards. Those 18 points gave Malhotra a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Landon Kelly, who posted eight points.

The victory made it two in a row for Blair and bumps their season record up to 9-6. As for Northwest, their loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 12-4.

Blair will challenge Kennedy on Friday. Northwest has already played their next game, a 44-41 win against Seneca Valley on the 4th.
