Basketball Recap: Timberland Starts Season with Victory on the Road

Timberland had to kick off their season on the road on Monday, but they showed no ill effects. They took their matchup with ease, bagging a 61-15 win over the C.A. Johnson Hornets. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Wolves had established a 36-point advantage.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Timberland to victory, but perhaps none more so than Zion Prioleau, who shot 44% from the field to rack up 19 points. Prioleau has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last seven times she's played. Another player making a difference was Samara Scott, who went 8-for-10 on her way to 16 points and six rebounds.

C.A. Johnson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Timberland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-25 victory against Scott's Branch on the 26th. As for C.A. Johnson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 53-28 win against Virtus Academy on the 25th.
