Volleyball Recap: Highland Gets the Win

Highland saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against the Westview Wolverines by a score of 2-0. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Hawks.

Among those leading the charge was Ella Byma, who had five aces. Those five aces gave her a new career-high.

Byma wasn't the only good servers: Highland was lethal from the service line and finished the match with ten aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least six aces in four consecutive matches.

Highland's victory bumped their record up to 19-8. As for Westview, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 20-8.

Highland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Torrey Pines on the 11th. As for Westview, they will take on San Marcos at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
