Football Game Preview: Fort Atkinson Blackhawks vs. Sun Prairie West Wolves

The Fort Atkinson Blackhawks are taking a road trip to take on the Sun Prairie West Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fort Atkinson is looking for their season's first win.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Fort Atkinson and Milton had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Blackhawks were outmatched by the Red Hawks and fell 39-7. While losing is never fun, the Blackhawks can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin football rankings (they are ranked 290th, while the Red Hawks are ranked 34th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sun Prairie West, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They secured a 25-21 W over DeForest on Friday. The Wolves' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Fort Atkinson's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Sun Prairie West, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.

Fort Atkinson came up short against Sun Prairie West in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, falling 13-3. Can the Blackhawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
