Football Recap: Nordonia Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Nordonia can now relate to. They were outmatched by the Walsh Jesuit Warriors and fell 49-18. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 104th, while the Warriors are ranked eighth).

When it comes to explaining why Nordonia lost on Friday, don't look at Steven Fakult. Despite the final result, he threw for 195 yards and one TD, and also rushed for 58 yards.

Nordonia's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Walsh Jesuit, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Nordonia does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Walsh Jesuit, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 42-21 win against Austintown-Fitch on the 14th.
