Volleyball Recap: Juneau-Douglas' Victory on Friday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Juneau-Douglas had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Skagway Panthers by a score of 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Juneau-Douglas took both sets by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-11.

Braith Dihle paced Juneau-Douglas' offense, picking up five kills. Dihle got some help from Liliane Veikoso and her nine assists. Veikoso was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Juneau-Douglas' victory bumped their record up to 16-9-4.

Juneau-Douglas has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Barrow on the 3rd. Skagway does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
