Salpointe Catholic kept a clean sheet against Sahuaro on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Sahuaro Cougars with a sharp 8-0 win. Considering the Lancers have won 13 matchups by more than two goals this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

They hit Sahuaro with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Leo Gutierrez (4), Santiago Perez (2), Diegoctavio Garcia Yanez, and Luis Garcia-Leyva.

The victory (which was Salpointe Catholic's 12th in a row) raised their record to 18-1. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 83 goals over those 12 contests. As for Sahuaro, their defeat was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Salpointe Catholic will challenge Nogales at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Salpointe Catholic knows how to get goals on the board -- the team has finished with four goals or more in their past 12 games -- so hopefully Nogales likes a good challenge.
