Softball Recap: Balboa Finds Playoff Glory Versus Lowell

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Balboa walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Lowell Cardinals on Wednesday as they made off with a 14-2 victory. The result was nothing new for the Buccaneers, who have now won 11 contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Balboa has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Lowell, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 16-6.

As of now, neither Balboa nor the Cardinals have any future games scheduled.
