Football Game Preview: Albany Academy for Boys Cadets vs. Wilbraham & Monson Academy Titans

The Albany Academy for Boys Cadets will venture away from home to face off against the Wilbraham & Monson Academy Titans at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Albany Academy for Boys has given up an average of 32.6 points per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Last Saturday, Albany Academy for Boys had to suffer through a 54-6 loss at the hands of Frederick Gunn. While losing is never fun, the Cadets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 30th in New York, while the Highlanders are ranked first in Connecticut).

Meanwhile, Wilbraham & Monson Academy waltzed into their game last Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They blew past the Griffins, posting a 55-26 win. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won three matchups by 29 points or more so far this season.

Wilbraham & Monson Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Albany Academy for Boys, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.

Everything came up roses for Albany Academy for Boys against Wilbraham & Monson Academy in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, as the team secured a 46-14 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Cadets since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
