Ellington's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Clearwater Fightin' Tigers with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Whippets have beaten the Fightin' Tigers the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Fightin' Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Ellington took every set by at least ten points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-12, 25-15.

Megan Copeland paced Ellington's offense, picking up 17 kills. Copeland got some help from Tayleigh Cowin and her 31 assists. Copeland also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Addie Buford, racking up two apiece.
