Northwest faced Valley in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Wednesday. The Wolves were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Tigers. The result was nothing new for the Wolves, who have now won eight contests by six runs or more so far this season.

Northwest's win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 16-9.
