Basketball Recap: Three Rivers Takes a Loss

Three Rivers lost against Marshall back in March of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Three Rivers Wildcats were dealt a 65-38 loss at the hands of the Marshall Redhawks. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 463rd, while the Redhawks are ranked 197th).

Three Rivers' defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 4-9. As for Marshall, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Three Rivers will host Edwardsburg at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Marshall, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Pennfield at 7:00 p.m. Pennfield will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Marshall surely won't give up without a fight.
