Baseball Recap: Frankton Comes Up Short

Frankton fought the good fight in their extra-innings game against Yorktown on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 15-12 to the Tigers. The Eagles have struggled against the Tigers recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost meeting.

Riley Inglis made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in five of his six plate appearances with four RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Caine Oakley, who got on base in four of his seven plate appearances with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Frankton's loss dropped their record down to 12-10. As for Yorktown, their record now sits at 13-14.

Coming up, Frankton will venture away from home to face off against Cowan at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Blackhawks will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last. As for Yorktown, they will challenge Hamilton Heights at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
