Recap: North Crowley Panthers vs. Boswell Pioneers

If the North Crowley Panthers were feeling good off their 47-20 takedown of the Trinity Trojans last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. North Crowley was the victim of a rough 61-38 defeat at the hands of the Pioneers on Tuesday. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points North Crowley has scored all season.

Boswell's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Camille Williams, who scored 28 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Williams is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last 17 games she's played. Salena Carrasco was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with eight rebounds and five assists.

North Crowley's defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-10. As for Boswell, they are on a roll lately: they've won 21 of their last 24 games, which provided a nice bump to their 29-5 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Crowley will challenge the Kangaroos at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Weatherford will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 425th, while the Panthers are ranked 68th). As for Boswell, they will head out on the road to face off against the Blue Raiders at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Bell is on a ten-game streak of home wins, the Pioneers a seven-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
