The Bothell Cougars will head out on the road to take on the Liberty Patriots at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bothell will be strutting in after a victory while Liberty will be coming in after a defeat.
Bothell not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since April 22, 2024. They were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over Cedarcrest.

Addison Hall spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits and racked up 12 Ks. Those 12 strikeouts set a new season-high mark for her.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Sammi Bishop, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one triple, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Berlin Roberts, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double.
Meanwhile, Liberty faced Redmond in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. Liberty fell just short of Redmond by a score of 2-1. The Patriots haven't had much luck with the Mustangs recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.
Avery Huh put in work no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than six strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run.
Huh wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Emi Connell, who went 1-for-3 with one double.
The win got Bothell back to even at 4-4. As for Liberty, their loss dropped their record down to 6-3.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Bothell hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Liberty struggles in that department as they've been averaging 1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
