Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Comes Up Short

Hillcrest Lutheran Academy was the 65-52 winner over Pelican Rapids when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Hillcrest Lutheran Academy Comets fell just short of the Pelican Rapids Vikings by a score of 56-53 on Monday. While losing is never fun, the Comets can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Minnesota basketball rankings (they are ranked 150th, while the Vikings are ranked 26th).

Hillcrest Lutheran Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Pelican Rapids, their victory bumped their record up to 14-3.

Hillcrest Lutheran Academy has already played their next matchup (against Hancock), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Pelican Rapids will challenge Hawley at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
