The Riverside Ram will venture away from home to square off against the Lightridge Lightning at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverside is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 10.8 runs per game this season.

Riverside is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Broad Run just ended the team's seven-game winning streak on Monday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 11-1. The game marked the Ram's lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Riverside saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alex McLellan, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Meanwhile, Lightridge strolled into their game on Thursday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over Loudoun Valley. The Lightning might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Alexa Knapp, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Avery Sullivan, who went 1-for-4 with one home run.

Lightridge kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 15 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 13 hits in four consecutive matchups.

Lightridge's win bumped their record up to 14-0. As for Riverside, their loss dropped their record down to 11-3.

Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. Riverside has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 12.4 hits per game. However, it's not like Lightridge struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 2.6 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.

Riverside skirted past Lightridge 2-1 in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Ram since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
