Baseball Recap: Foster Wins Going Away Against Alief Elsik

Foster entered their tilt with Alief Elsik on Tuesday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They never let the Alief Elsik Rams get on the board and left with a 14-0 victory. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for the Falcons this season.

Foster got a great performance from Paxton Dagley as he kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Dagley also allowed no hits, which is notable because Foster is 2-1 when he allows at most two hits, but 7-9-1 otherwise.

At the plate, Luke Kulcak was a standout: he went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run and three RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Landry Heath, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Foster always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .576. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Alief Elsik only posted an OBP of .111.

Foster's record now sits at 9-10-1. As for Alief Elsik, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

Foster will have a chance to go back-to-back against Alief Elsik: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
