Softball Recap: Leon Takes a Loss

Leon blew Normangee out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Friday Normangee got their revenge. The Cougars fell just short of the Panthers by a score of 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Cougars have suffered since March 28, 2025.

Leon's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Normangee, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6-1 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Leon will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Centerville at 5:00 p.m. on the 20th. As for Normangee, they will challenge Latexo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
