Softball Recap: Washington Comes Up Short

Washington couldn't beat La Joya Community on Thursday even though they stacked six runs on them in the second inning. The Rams came up short against the Fighting Lobos, falling 20-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Fighting Lobos this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 6-5 on Tuesday.

This is the second loss in a row for Washington and nudges their season record down to 4-13. As for La Joya Community, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-9.

Looking ahead, Washington will be playing at home against Fairfax at 3:45 p.m. on Friday. As for La Joya Community, they will head out on the road to square off against Mohave at 3:45 p.m. on Monday.
