Volleyball Recap: Harvey Comes Up Short

Harvey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Orange Lions. If the Red Raiders were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Lions when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-11, 25-10, 25-4.

Jada Blade paced Harvey's offense, picking up three kills. Blade were helped by Kim Aguayo and Shea Melnyk, who contributed three assists each. Melnyk was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Harvey's defeat dropped their record down to 5-9. As for Orange, with the victory, they broke their six-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-10.

Coming up, Harvey is taking a road trip to square off against Harding at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Orange, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Perry at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
