Volleyball Recap: Bartlett Comes Up Short

Fans were treated to a battle of the Hawks on Wednesday. Bartlett fell just short of Hoffman Estates by a score of 2-1. Bartlett has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The 2-1 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by two points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 23-25, 27-25.

Nathaniel Ham was nothing short of spectacular for Hoffman Estates: he had 32 assists and four digs. Those 32 assists gave Ham a new career-high.

Bartlett's defeat dropped their record down to 5-24. As for Hoffman Estates, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 13-17.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bartlett will challenge St. Charles East at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. After both having extra time off, Hoffman Estates and Elk Grove will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
