League recap: Grand Junction drops out of Colorado top 25

5A/4A Southwestern league recap: 5/14/12

With a rough week, Grand Junction dropped out of the state's top 25 rankings. Grand Junction fell from No. 25 to No. 31 after going 0-1 over the past week. The Tigers are ranked No. 1882 in the nation, and have an overal record of 13-7.

5A/4A Southwestern's top pitcher this week was Ryan Mcivor. His stat line for the week included zero wins and seven Ks.

Montezuma-Cortez continues to give up the least hits to opposing lineups this season, after surrendering only four in the past week. For the entire year, Montezuma-Cortez has given up only 124 base hits.

Durango's George Mayberry led the league with six hits this week. His 12 hits for the year are thirty-seventh in the league, and he boasts a .462 batting average.
