Las Cruces faced Cleveland in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Bulldawgs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Storm. The victory continues a trend for the Bulldawgs in their matchups with the Storm: they've now won four in a row.

Las Cruces' got stronger as the match went on, holding Cleveland to fewer and fewer points set over set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-16, 25-15.

Addison Massey paced Las Cruces' offense, picking up 23 kills. Massey got some help from Sydney Pipkin and her 35 assists. Caleigh Garcia controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Despite the defeat, Cleveland saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Aspen Maxey had 15 digs and two assists.

Las Cruces' win bumped their record up to 9-0. As for Cleveland, their loss dropped their record down to 7-4.

Las Cruces didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 victory against La Cueva on the 27th. As for Cleveland, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-2 defeat against St. Pius X on the 27th.
