Preview: Inderkum Tigers vs. River Valley Falcons
Inderkum is 9-1 against River Valley since January of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Inderkum Tigers will be playing at home against the River Valley Falcons at 7:30 p.m. Inderkum has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 603 points over their last seven matches.
Inderkum stacked a ninth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Monday. They put the hurt on Antelope with a sharp 92-69 victory. 92 seems to be a good number for Inderkum as the team scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.
Inderkum's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jeremiah Butler, who scored 19 points along with six rebounds and five steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Butler has scored all season. Siincere Hudson was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, River Valley had to endure an eight-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 57-47 victory over Yuba City on Monday. The victory was just what River Valley needed coming off of a 68-45 defeat in their prior matchup.
River Valley's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Yuvraj Dosanjh, who scored 15 points along with two blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Munneth Gill, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and ten rebounds.
Inderkum has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-6 record this season. As for River Valley, their victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-15.
Wednesday's contest is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Inderkum have been dynamite from deep this season, having made 44.6% of their threes per game. However, it's not like River Valley struggles in that department as they've made 37.9% of their threes per game this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything came up roses for Inderkum against River Valley in their previous matchup on January 3rd as the team secured a 93-39 victory. With Inderkum ahead 50-26 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
