Volleyball Recap: Gabriel Cabezudo and Pedro Ramos-Alejandro Secure Win for Hoke County

Hoke County proved they can win big on Friday (they won by three) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-2 win over the Wakefield Wolverines.

Hoke County took Wakefield into a fifth set where they got it done with a two-point win. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-18, 25-12, 26-28, 15-13.

Hoke County was led to victory by Pedro Ramos-Alejandro and Gabriel Cabezudo. Ramos-Alejandro had eight aces and seven digs, while Cabezudo had four aces and four assists.

They weren't the only good server: Hoke County was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 22 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matchups.

The victory got Hoke County back to even at 2-2. As for Wakefield, they dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Hoke County has already played their next game, a 3-0 loss against Panther Creek on the 22nd. Wakefield does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
