Volleyball Recap: Making Waves Academy Starts off Right with Win over Quarry Lane

Making Waves Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past the Quarry Lane Cougars 3-0. The Marlins have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cougars, too.

Making Waves Academy was especially dominant in the first set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-16, 25-18.

Joshua Huezo paced Making Waves Academy's offense, picking up ten kills. Huezo got some help from Vicente Palma and his 13 assists.

Quarry Lane's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Looking ahead, Making Waves Academy will hit the road for the first time this season to take on Summit Tamalpais at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Quarry Lane, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Bentley at 5:15 p.m.
