Basketball Game Preview: Fisher Gators vs. Jefferson RISE Charter

The Fisher Gators will head out on the road to challenge Jefferson RISE Charter at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 59-10, which was the final score in Fisher's tilt against Phoenix on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Gators can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 341st, while the Spartans are ranked 150th).

Meanwhile, Jefferson RISE Charter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They took a blow against L.W. Higgins, falling 52-20.

This is the second loss in a row for Fisher and nudges their season record down to 4-10. As for Jefferson RISE Charter, their loss dropped their record down to 2-17.

Fisher skirted past Jefferson RISE Charter 28-25 in their previous matchup two weeks ago. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fisher since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
