Basketball Recap: Community Christian's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Saturday

Community Christian easily dispatched Trinity Christian on Friday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Community Christian Cyclones fell just short of the Living Water Christian Warriors by a score of 53-51 on Saturday. The matchup marked the Cyclones' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Community Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Chason Bryant, who posted ten points and five assists. Jack Beamon was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds.

Living Water Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dwight Hooker, who went 6 of 7 on his way to 16 points and five assists. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaiden Cooper, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and ten boards.

Community Christian moved to 8-3 with that loss, which also ended their seven-game winning streak. As for Living Water Christian, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 8-5.

Community Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 63-22 victory against Varsity Opponent on the 14th. Living Water Christian will take on Union Grove Christian in a holiday battle at at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
