West Valley proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by seven) and on Saturday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Juneau-Douglas Crimson Bears 3-2. This was a revenge game for West Valley: when they faced off against Juneau-Douglas back in April, they had to take a 2-1 loss.

West Valley's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 6-7-1. As for Juneau-Douglas, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-7-1 record this season.

West Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Juneau-Douglas, they will take on Wasilla at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
