Softball Recap: Eastern Comes Up Short

Eastern extended their losing streak to six on Monday, dropping them down to 2-7. They lost 13-4 to the Rochester Zebras. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Comets of the 15-6 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2025.

Emillia Andrews was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base.

As for Rochester, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 11.5 runs this season.

On Rochester's side, Aubrey Wilson was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to RBI, as she's now brought in three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Jadyn Field, who went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Eastern and Rochester will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Comets are set to take on their familiar foe Clinton Central at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Rochester will face off against rival Southwood at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
