Volleyball Recap: South Charleston Black Eagles vs. Wirt County Tigers
South Charleston was the 2-0 winner over Wirt County when they last played one another back in September, but their luck changed this time around. The Black Eagles took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Tigers on Tuesday. The Black Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-18.
Delaney Foster paced South Charleston's offense, picking up three kills. Foster got some help from Hailey Maxwell and her five assists. Haley Wilson controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
South Charleston's defeat dropped their record down to 19-16. As for Wirt County, they pushed their record up to 21-4-1 with the win, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Coming up, South Charleston will be playing in front of their home fans against Capital at 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Wirt County, they have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Woodrow Wilson on the 14th.
