Volleyball Recap: Franklin County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Franklin County had lost 15 straight on the road dating back to last season, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 2-12 to make it 16. They lost 3-0 to the Lincoln County Falcons. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Falcons this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

As for Lincoln County, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. They not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since September 16th (when they won 3-0).

Lucy Summers produced another solid performance getting five digs and five aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 25 games she's played. Another player making a difference was Reese Winsett, who had nine kills and three aces.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Franklin County is set to take on their familiar foe Coffee County Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Lincoln County will challenge rival Shelbyville Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
