 Evergreen fell victim to Golden and their airtight pitching crew  on Tuesday. They took  a  5-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Golden Demons. Evergreen has not had much luck with Golden recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.
  Ryan Cook was a  force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he  struck out eight batters over  five innings while giving up  three earned  (and one unearned) runs off   five  hits (and only one walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in four consecutive pitching appearances.
 Even though they lost, Evergreen  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with 12  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Golden only tossed seven.
 On Golden's side,  Taden Svendsen looked comfortable as he  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits over four innings pitched.
 On the hitting side,  Dylan Paulson was  excellent,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of  Jaydon Stroup, who  went 1-for-3 with three  RBI.
 Evergreen's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Golden, the  victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 9-1.
 Evergreen will be playing at home against Wheat Ridge at 4:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Evergreen is facing Wheat Ridge at the right time seeing as Wheat Ridge is stuck on  a  nine-game losing streak. As for Golden, they are on the road again  on Thursday to play D'Evelyn at 4:00  p.m. Golden is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 7.8  runs per game this season.
