Baseball Recap: Marquand-Zion Takes a Loss

Marquand-Zion and Ste. Genevieve pushed the score to 15-8 the last time they played Ste. Genevieve, but on Friday defenses reigned supreme. The Tigers fell just short of the Dragons by a score of 2-1. The Tigers have struggled against the Dragons recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meeting.

Marquand-Zion's loss dropped their record down to 13-4. As for Ste. Genevieve, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5.

Coming up, Marquand-Zion will square off against DeSoto at 4:30 p.m. on the 12th. As for Ste. Genevieve, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 2-1 win against Fredericktown on the 2nd.
