Baseball Recap: Brackenridge Takes a Loss

Brackenridge lost against Seguin back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Eagles came up short against the Matadors, falling 12-2.

Brackenridge saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ethan Polendo, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Brackenridge's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-12. As for Seguin, they are on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-5-1 record this season.

Brackenridge will take on Sam Houston at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles are facing the Hurricanes at the right time seeing as the Hurricanes are stuck on an 11-game losing streak. As for Seguin, they will face off against Edison at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Matadors' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Golden Bears have averaged an impressive 6.8 runs per game this season.
