Softball Recap: Seneca Golden Eagles vs. Moorestown Quakers
Seneca extended their losing streak to four on Friday, dropping their season record down to 2-9 in the process. They lost 15-7 to the Moorestown Quakers. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Quakers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-7 back in April.
Dylan Lawson was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. Danny Martin also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.
As for Moorestown, their record now sits at 6-10-1. With that victory, they brought their scoring average up to 6.5 runs per game.
On Moorestown's side, Mackenzie Seibel was a standout: she went 4-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI Seibel has posted since back in May of 2024. Jaida Rodriguez was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI.
Coincidentally, Seneca and Moorestown will both be playing Winslow Township the next time they take the field. The Quakers will host the Eagles at 3:45 p.m. on Monday, while the Golden Eagles will head out to face them at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday.
