East Gaston had already won eight in a row and they went ahead and made it nine on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the West Lincoln Rebels. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent win being a 3-0 victory two weeks ago.

East Gaston walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 25-12, 25-17.

Leading East Gaston to victory were Cooper Payne and Emma Horneman. Payne had 22 digs and one assist, while Horneman had nine digs. Payne has been hot for a while, having posted 11 or more digs the last 18 times she's played.

East Gaston's win bumped their record up to 22-4. As for West Lincoln, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-15 record this season.

East Gaston wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Burns on the 14th. As for West Lincoln, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Piedmont Community Charter on the 18th.
