Baseball Recap: Wai'anae Makes It Seven in a Row on the Road

Wai'anae put another one in the bag on Wednesday to keep their perfect season alive. They blew past the McKinley Tigers 16-2. The Seariders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matches by ten runs or more this season.

Kai Keesee and Samstyn Quel were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Keesee tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Quel tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. At the plate, Keesee scored a run while going 2-for-3, while Quel scored a run while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

In other batting news, KamrenJ Atanes was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-2. Atanes is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's snagged at least one every time he's taken the field this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Chaseten Rice, who scored two runs while going 1-for-4.

Wai'anae hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts every time they've taken the field this season.

Wai'anae's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.the team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team won's by an average of 12.3 runs thus far As for McKinley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-4.
